About Me

Why Computer Science? Part of it is that I don't want AI, or anyone else for that matter, making all our decisions for us though that instinct predates AI for me. I've always felt like the tech world rewards people for building something new, even when nothing about it is actually needed, and very little of it is spent asking what should be fixed, prevented, or left better than it was found. That question shapes most of what I do. I don't think excellence is only measured by what you build. It's measured by what you notice and choose to act on instead of waiting for someone else to.

In practice, I'm a Computer Science student at NJIT's Albert Dorman Honors College, minoring in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I build full stack applications mostly with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, Supabase, and Prisma. For data and machine learning work I use Python, and I bring in AI tooling when it actually earns its place in a project. Most of what I've made lives on the projects page.

Outside of building things, I spend a fair amount of time on work that has nothing to do with code: I currently serve as president of Minds+ and vice president of Students for Hunger Relief. I've also managed the info desk at a statewide robotics tournament, helped lead orientation retreats for incoming honors students, and volunteered with a program that rebuilds a summer camp through environmental cleanup and facility work.

The rest of me is fairly ordinary. I have a genuine fondness for flowers, film, and finding a good restaurant before anyone else does. I care a lot about visual aesthetics too which is probably evident from the rest of this site.
